I periodically organize plant sales for Phoenix grown vegetable plant including many different desert adapted tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, herbs, onions, agaves, and lots more. Seeds are also available for purchase and pickup during plant sales.

Where is the sale?

The September 28 sale will be located in the back of the Sea of Green Hydrogardens and Exotics store east of the McClintock and University intersection in Tempe. This location provides plenty of parking, air conditioning, and additional space to bring you more vendors.  Sea of Green offers seed starting supplies, an expansive selection of fertilizers, soil and soil amendments.  This event will be a one stop shopping experience!

Are there preorders?

Possibly. Stay tuned for details. 

How much are plants and seeds?

This sale will have several vendors and each is responsible for pricing and collecting their own payments.  The Desert Smells Like Veggies pricing will have  seeds  and plants priced between $3-10.

What types of plants are available?

There will be a tomatoes, peppers, eggplants. tomatillos, basil, I’itoi Onions,  broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, greens, lettuce, etc. .  Varieties include my tried and true favorites for Phoenix area Fall planting.  See a link to the variety list above. We will also have seeds available for Fall favorites like carrots, peas, beets, lettuce, cilantro, dill, and more.  Flower seeds include calendula, chamomile, nigella, poppies, native wildflowers and more.  There will be a limited amount of seed garlic available from Forever Yung Farms. 

Are plants and seeds organic?

All plants are organically grown and I attempt to source certified organic seeds and products wherever possible. Many of the seeds available have been organically grown in my garden in Tempe.

What types of payments are accepted?

Cash, Venmo, or credit cards (Visa, MC, Amex)

Are there other vendors?

My partner Cody of Garden Spaces is also growing plants!  This list includes both of our offerings.  There will also be some flower offerings from John’s Plant Adventures and fertilizer from Earth’s Original Organics
